One of my favorite pastimes in Tokyo is definitely their Purikura booths. It has all the makings of a great afternoon-photography, cuteness, instant gratification in the form of sticker sheets and lots and lots of pink. I love the premise: get in, take a bunch of goofball photos and then race against the clock to cram as many bows and smiley-faced hamburgers into each frame as humanly possible. The downside? It’s an 11 hour plane ride from Los Angeles.
But a recent discovery on Yelp, pointed me to Photosticker in nearby Garden Grove. SCORE! I will be heading out to investigate in the weeks to come and I will report back.

While visiting one of my favorito blogs, Print & Pattern, I found these adorable wall decals. They have the usual suspects: cute foods making cute faces, but they also have some offbeat selections like the drinking rabbit, some more handdrawn illustrative style offerings and my favorite, the urgent sounding “Baby is here now!” The catch? TIM BURTON DOES ALICE IN WONDERLAND

I am so extremely excited about Tim Burton’s take on the Alice in Wonderland story. How amazing does Anne Hathaway look as the White Queen? And after staring a long time at Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, thinking “who does he remind me of?” It dawned on me- ELIJAH WOOD- how unfortch. It’s set to open March 5th 2010.
