BABY YOURSELF FOR A CHANGE
Wednesday, January 20th, 2010It seems that everyone I know is either having a baby or just had one, and they all share one thing in common. They barely have a moment to pamper themselves because their little bundles take up all of their time. This is what makes MD Moms Baby Silk line so awesome, it lets your provide the highest quality products for your little one and moms can use them to pamper themselves too.
Throw the gentle all over clean wipes into your purse to clean up messes from head to toe, or slather yourself in the ultra hydrating and amazing smelling baby silk daily skin protection lotion. My favorite product is the baby silk delicate skin comfort, which goes on as a lotion and dries to a silky powder; good for baby’s bottom and it doubles as a perfect solution to smooth on your feet when you’re wearing ballet flats for an all day dry comfort!
You can view the whole range which also includes sunscreen wipes and a hair and body wash at MDMOMS.com
The Perfect Riding Boots
Tuesday, December 29th, 2009Frye, Frye, Frye. Damn you make some good boots. I’m convinced these are the perfect riding boots, and I need to stop staring at them, because the more I look at them the more reasonable the price seems.
The Melissa Button boots are available at Zappos.com
Harajuku Lovers’ Moment
Monday, December 21st, 2009Say what you will about the faux-panese schtick that is Harajuku Lovers, they are having a major moment with their shoe line right now. It reminds me of what Fornarina was doing 4 or 5 years ago, when they had a collection of really fresh on-trend shoes that were not clearly just knocking off luxury brands. All the HJ shoes are priced around $100 and they are rocking some seriously edgy fun styles that are budget friendly. So girls, show them you appreciate the good job and get some! All these styles are available at Zappos.com.

Happy New Year!
Monday, January 19th, 2009
I’ve been MIA since November and now I’m baaaack! With exciting news, no less. While trolling one of my fave blogs, The Budget Babe, I discovered that Orla Kiely is doing a line for Target. WHAT! I KNOW! This is truly exciting news, even though I’m in the midst of a Hong Kong shopping hang over. But you know what they say, hair of the dog. So I will be looking for my cure at Target.

Molly Schiot
Saturday, November 8th, 2008
In the spirit of my previous post, here’s another artist/illustrator. My favorite aspect of her work is her sense of humor. I mean, who does spend $150 bucks for a T-shirt at Fred Segal? Posers. In Los Angeles, she shows at Phyllis Stein Art (who’s logo I love). See more of Molly’s work.
High Tea of Highgate
Wednesday, October 8th, 2008- Enjoying tea and biscuits
- Victorian Sponge Cake
- Tea Cup Chandelier
If someone crawled into my brain, pulled out my idea of the perfect tea cafe and made it a reality, it would be High Tea of Highgate. HT is owned by proprietress Georgina Worthington, first off, is that the cutest name ever? It is so perfect it sounds made up. Highgate is an idyllic, quiet neighborhood in London where my BFF lives. High Tea is the definitely the crown jewel of this darling enclave.
The scones were literally the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. The tea was exquisite. The atmosphere sublime. Georgina bakes the scones every morning and I’d be there 5 minutes after she opened her doors to sample them every chance I got during my stay. She also offered a selection of tea accessories like tea towels, tea pot cozies and even pieces by Ella Doran.
Mark it on you list of must sees in London. They open at 11 am, make sure you’re there in time to sample a scone right out of the oven.
Feeling Rosy
Wednesday, October 8th, 2008
Rose prints were everywhere in London, on stationary, dishes and most notably tote bags. Just about every woman of every age was carrying a rose printed tote, either as a secondary bag or as their handbag. I’ve never been one for rose prints, but somehow in the midst of “English Roses” the whole thing won me over and charmed me.
I especially love the print on this Cath Kidston carry all tote.
