Many months back I wrote about what I consider to be one of the most exciting masstige collabos ever, Sonia Rykiel for H&M. While her lingerie line was super cute, what I wanted were SWEATERS, SWEATERS, SWEATERS! And thanks to the ever vigilant fashion blog Nitrolicious, we can all see what’s to come. Now this is what I’m talking about!! This collection is set to hit stores on 2/20/2010 in 250 stores.

Say what you will about the faux-panese schtick that is Harajuku Lovers, they are having a major moment with their shoe line right now. It reminds me of what Fornarina was doing 4 or 5 years ago, when they had a collection of really fresh on-trend shoes that were not clearly just knocking off luxury brands. All the HJ shoes are priced around $100 and they are rocking some seriously edgy fun styles that are budget friendly. So girls, show them you appreciate the good job and get some! All these styles are available at Zappos.com.

It’s cold out there and there are a ton of holiday parties to attend so we’ll need to cover our legs. Lucky for us, Wolford’s tights are probably the sexiest tights going right now. I love them, and BareNecessities.com carries a great selection of them. If you live in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills Hosiery carries a great selection of tights on the cheap.

I was greatly inspired by the Sartorialist’s photos on Governor’s Island. The outfits are divine- romantic, vintage, crisp, flattering and the menswear inspired oxfords, wing tips and saddle shoes really jumped out at me. After seeing my styley friend Esther receive a pair of retro saddle shoes as a birthday present, I knew there was something to this obsesh of mine.
And is anyone else completely obsessed with the shoes by Cole, Rood and Haan? They are beyond words, especially the Breezers!
So here’s a list of great looking saddle or saddle inspired shoes (in order from top to bottom):
- Burda by Taryn Rose $253.00
- Gin Mill by Cole, Rood & Haan $295.00
- Saddle Oxford by BDG $48.00
- Tapeet by Vicini $248.00
- Tuxxedo by Steve Madden $79.99
- Retro Saddle Shoe (not pictured) $79.00

Sonia Rykiel’s collections are my dream wardrobe come to life! Here aesthetic is girlish, whimsical and clever and the COLORS! Oh boy. So when read this press release on H&M’s website, I was over the MOON.
Her collaboration with H&M will launch the first part of its two part installment on December 5, 2009 and will extend to lingerie and accessories. This development is an absolute coup for long time fans of Rykiel’s who have never had the luxury of a $700 cardigan.
I will report when images surface!

Once the domain of hood rats and people who actually shop for fashion accessories inside Disney parks, Coach has been making a respectable come back over the last several seasons. Though they’d fare better to leave the cartoony hip-hop sneakers and colorful urban prints to Louis Vuitton and Fendi, their return to their classic equestrian logo and overall “Weekend in Nantucket” styling is a welcome turn for the better. Part of what they’ve done is return to classic, clean styling and appeal to a younger audience, taking a few pages from Tod’s and Marc Jacobs’ books. I can’t recall ever wanting anything by Coach before so my hats off to them!
Clockwise from the top:
- Felt Beret $148.00
- Great American Tattersall Trench $798.00
- Poppy Three Strand Flower Necklace $198.00
- New Fayth Boot $358.00
- Bonnie Large Tote $358.00
- Skyla Flat $158.00
- Madison Julianne Tote $458.00
- Sailor Stripe Sweater $198.00
All available at Coach
